My name is Chantelle Mostacho (she/her), a Filipino-Canadian multidisciplinary artist, choreographer, and educator with a BFA in Theatre Performance Dance. My practice bridges street dance and contemporary movement forms, with a focus on Punking/ Whacking/ Waacking. Through choreography and freestyle, I explore movement as a language for storytelling, creating work that extends across theatre, film, commercial platforms, and other creative mediums.

3:23pm Scribbles began as a way to let my drawings dance with me. As a dance artist and self-taught animator, I create hand-drawn animations that interact with my movement, turning scribbles into playful companions, characters, and extensions of expression.

Chantelle Mostacho (she/her) is a Toronto-based multidisciplinary dance artist whose work exists at the intersection of street dance and contemporary concert forms. At the core of her practice is Punking/ Whacking/ Waacking. Known for her powerful artistic voice across choreography and freestyle, her work extends through theatre, film, and commercial platforms, where she continues to explore innovative forms of storytelling through movement.Her choreography has been featured in productions by Toronto Dance Theatre, CanAsian Dance, DanceWorks Toronto, and George Brown College, as well as in industry showcases such as Studio 6, Fever After Dark, and 1234 DanceArts. She has choreographed for music videos, including Nanu - "Inservible" and Jaimie Poon - "So, Love". Other performance credits include Johnny Orlando, Finger Eleven, Bassnectar, TIFF, TEDxWomen, MICHI NY, The Bentway, and more.A recognized force in the battle scene, Chantelle has showcased her skills with notable wins and placements across the country. She placed Top 4 in Red Bull Dance Your Style Toronto, advancing to the Canadian Nationals held in Vancouver— proudly representing the style Punking/ Whacking/ Waacking while advocating for the visibility and presence of women in street dance.Expanding her movement practice into visual storytelling, Chantelle has developed a self-taught animation practice through her ongoing project, 3:23pm Scribbles. Combining hand-drawn animation with footage of her own movement, the project explores the space between the physical and imagined, creating conversations between the body, illustration, and the environments that surround her. Through these animated worlds, she reimagines how movement can be experienced, allowing gestures to become stories and spaces to become places of imagination.With a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theatre Performance Dance from Toronto Metropolitan University, Chantelle combines her formal classical training with her role as a devoted leader in Toronto’s Wh/aacking community. Through progressives, workshops, open sessions and classes, she creates inclusive and supportive spaces that emphasize care, consent, and collaborative exploration. Chantelle nurtures both the culture and the next generation of dancers while continuing to study under the last living Original Punker Viktor Manoel, honoring the style’s lineage and evolving her own artistry.
